2014 Financial Executives International Undergraduate Scholarship

The 2014 Financial Executives International (FEI) Scholarship award will be given to an outstanding accounting or finance students who exemplifies distinguished academic performance, leadership, character, and the desire to pursue a career in the private/corporate sectors (although they  may begin their career in public accounting).  The scholarship is available to seniors (preferably) and juniors who major in Finance and Accounting.  The scholarship award is $1,000 and can be used to cover tuition, books, and other educational costs.

In additional to the monetary award, the recipient is requested to attend the FEI Scholarship Dinner on April 17, 2014 at the Charlotte Marriott South Park Hotel, along with a faculty member from the School of Accounting and two friends or family members - all at no charge.

AICPA John L. Carey Scholarship

This $5,000 scholarship provides financial assistance to liberal arts and non-business undergraduate degree holders who are pursuing both graduate studies in accounting and CPA licensure. Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students

This scholarship in the amount of $1,000 - $5,000 provides financial awards to full-time minority students pursing an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or an accounting-related major. Applicants must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

AICPA Accountemps Student Scholarships

This $2,500 grants financial assistance to outstanding full-time undergraduate or graduate level accounting students who demonstrate potential to become leaders in the CPA profession. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

AICPA Foundation Two-Year Transfer Scholarship

This $1,000 new scholarship provides financial awards to students who have earned an associate's degree in business, accounting, finance, or economics with a declared intent to major in accounting or an accounting-related field at a four-year college or university. Applicants must be accepted and enrolling as a full-time undergraduate at a four-year college or university in the fall, have a GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Wiley CPAexcel Scholarship Program

Wiley CPAexcel will award a $2,500 Cash Scholarship and six CPA Review Course Scholarships at the end of the Spring 2014 semester!

Applicants must be an actively enrolled full or part-time college student taking at least one accounting course.  The Grand Prize is a $2,500 cash scholarship and the Wiley CPAexcel Video Gold Medal Course (plus free shipping).  Five First Prizes consisting of the Wiley CPAexcel Video Gold Medal Course (plus free shipping) will also be awarded.

South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA) Scholarships

Applications are being accepted for the SCACPA Educational Fund, Inc. Scholarship for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Qualified applications should:

  • Be a South Carolina resident;
  • Be a rising junior or senior majoring in accounting (or Master's Degree student) at a South Carolina college or university;
  • Hold a GPA of no less than 3.25 overall (on a 4.0 scale); and,
  • Hold a GPA in accounting no less than 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale).

In addition to the application, students must provide:

  • their college transcripts;
  • a list of scholarships, awards, and/or grants with amounts for this academic year;
  • two letters of reference (preferably professional) in a sealed envelope;
  • essay on personal career goals (250 words or less);
  • and a certification letter from the Head/Chair of the Accounting School where  you are an accounting major stating that you are a rising junior, senior, or graduate student.

Applications must be received complete with attachments and postmarked by June 1, 2014.
