Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Student Chapter

Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) is the worldwide association for accountants and financial professionals working in business.  With approximately 60,000 members, the goals of IMA are to expand the professional skills of accounting and finance professionals, help them to better manage their organizations, and to enhance their careers.  Student chapters are an important part of the IMA community.

As an IMA student member, students can learn about the accounting and financial management professionan, explore their future career options, and build their resumes and professional network.  IMA student memberships are available to individuals who are:

• Enrolled in at least six (6) undergraduate or graduate credit hours, or the equivalent, per semester; and,
• Reside in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

Student memberships can be held for a maximum of six (6) years.

Student membership provides the benefits of discounted membership fees, reduced CMA certification entrance and exam fees, and the opportunity to compete for a scholarship to attend the IMA Annual Conference & Exposition.  Additional benefits include internships and mentoring programs, networking opportunities, access to publications and educational resources, a Student Leadership Conference, and the IMA Career Center.
