Brian W. MacLean (MS ‘82) is president and chief operating officer of Travelers, one of the world’s leading providers of property-casualty insurance products and a component of the Dow 30.  He is responsible for all insurance operations, including the personal insurance, business insurance, and financial, professional & international insurance divisions, as well as the company’s runoff businesses and claim services.

MacLean joined Travelers in 1988 and through 1996 served in a variety of senior financial roles.  In 1999, he was named senior vice president for commercial lines select accounts, one of the leading providers of property casualty insurance products to small businesses in the United States.  In 2002, he was promoted to executive vice president and appointed to lead claim services.  In 2005 he was promoted to chief operating officer.  Prior to joining Travelers, MacLean was audit manager at Peat Marwick (now KPMG LLP).

MacLean is on the Board of Hartford HealthCare and the Connecticut Council for Education Reform as well as the President’s Council at Fordham University, where he is also an adjunct professor.  He is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Risk and Uncertainty Management Center at the University of South Carolina.

 He is a native of the New York metropolitan area and currently resides in Vernon, CT with his wife Kathy.  They have six grown children and six grandchildren.  His interests include running, reading, and spending time with his family 

Kyle W. Blackmon (BS ’00) is senior vice president and managing director at Brown Harris Stevens. He has the distinction of being one of the most respected, accomplished and successful brokers in the residential real estate industry. Since 2003, he has sold in excess of $700 million, and he currently holds the records for the two most expensive condominiums sold in Manhattan--$88 million at 15 Central Park West and $70 million at 50 Central Park South. In 2012, Blackmon was named the top-producing broker at Brown Harris Stevens and was involved in six of the top 25 residential transactions in New York City.

Blackmon’s success stems from his meticulous, client-centered approach:  he continually strives to develop ways to identify and meet his clients’ needs from the beginning of their search to the point when they’re settling into their property.

Blackmon’s intense commitment to serving his clients with integrity, careful attention and the highest level of customer service is also reflected in his personal life and in his philanthropic dedication. He is a patron of the Asia Society, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Carnegie Hall and Harlem Village Academy. He also supports charities related to Parkinson’s disease.

Raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with concentrations in marketing and management from the Moore School.

Michael J. Boyd (MIBS’98) is director of global treasury operations for Apple Inc. the world’s largest company by market capitalization.  

As director of global treasury operations, Boyd manages a geographically dispersed team with employees in Beijing, Singapore, Cork, Cupertino and Austin.  He and his team have responsibility for all of Apple’s cash management banking relationships and treasury management systems, as well as the technology Apple uses to connect to its banking partners.    

During his 10 years with Apple, Boyd has been influential on numerous projects, including host-to-host banking services, geographic and business line expansions and cash repatriation.

Following his MIBS internship with Caterpillar Brazil’s treasury department and before joining Apple, Boyd worked for Dell, Sungard, Solectron and Juniper and ran his own treasury systems consulting business.

A native of East Northport, NY, Boyd is fluent in English and Portuguese and conversational in Spanish. He lives in Cupertino with his wife Christy and son Nolan, where they grow grapes and raise chickens.

Marc A. Chini is vice president, human resources for GE, covering the BD, commercial communications, IT, legal, sourcing, HR and global talent recruitment reporting to GE Corporate.

As a member of the Moore School’s Riegel & Emory Human Resources Board, Chini has also made generous use of his time and talents to support the Moore School’s human resources program.  The contributions made by Chini and other board members, who provide hands-on training for Moore School HR students and keep faculty updated on the latest industry trends, have been instrumental in the Moore School HR program’s ability to attract top students and place them in top jobs.

Chini began his career at McGraw-Edison in a human resources supervisory capacity in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  In early 1983, he joined an insurance and investment company, Liberty Life in Greenville, South Carolina, as the manager of compensation and benefits. 

Beginning in 1984, when he joined GE Medical Systems at the magnetic resonance plant start-up in Florence, South Carolina, he worked for GE in various capacities. In 1998, he was named an officer of General Electric Company and was assigned to the position of vice president, human resources for GE Aviation.  In 1995, he became the vice president of human resources for the newly formed GE Infrastructure, which included aviation, locomotive, energy, oil & gas, water, and two GE Capital operations - aviation leasing and energy investments, and in 2007, he became the executive vice president of human resources for NBC Universal, a global media company.  With the sale of NBCU in early 2011, he moved on to his current GE Corporate role.

Chini is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master’s of Science degree in Industrial Relations.  He resides in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife Debbie.  They have four sons ranging in ages from 26 to 15.  He enjoys spending time with his family, running, camping, boating and home improvement projects.
