The Center for Business Communication (CBC) is a free service for the entire Moore School community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We were one of the first centers of our kind in the U.S. and are considered a model for other business schools. We offer:
individual "tutoring" to help improve your written projects practice facilities and coaching for your speeches and presentations help for faculty who want to develop communication-intensive assignments language learning support for non-native speakers of English
The Center for Business Communication employs consultants skilled in language and communication as well as second language acquisition. The consultants are graduate students from the USC Department of Linguistics and the Darla Moore School of Business. Those from the Department of Linguistics (the science of language) have work experience in communication and language learning, and those from the business school have language skills in addition to their business experience.
To make an appointment, please email cbc@moore.sc.edu, and please tell us about the project you're working on and what times are best for you to meet. You can also give us a call at 803.777.5904 or just stop by the center in person. We're located in Room 150 next to the computer lab.
Spring 2012 Drop-in Hours:
Monday and Wednesday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm (in the CBC) and 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm (in the Moore School Library)
Friday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
