Admissions Process

IMBA - Admissions Process

The Darla Moore School of Business admits new students into the International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program on a rolling basis. The program begins as a lock-step cohort in the Summer II semester (end of June) of each year. The admissions process involves:

  1. Admissions application - Applicants must submit an application according to the Admissions Schedule below. A non-refundable application fee of $100 is required. Payment is only available online via electronic check or credit card. Details are available within the online application for admission.
  2. Application Fee Waiver - Applicants who meet specific criteria are eligible for a waiver of their application fee. For a list of eligible criteria and the corresponding procedure visit application fee waiver.
  3. Supporting Documents - All supporting documents must be received in order for the Admissions Committee to start the application review process by selecting applicants to be interviewed.
  4. Admissions Interview and Notification- Interviews (by invitation only) may be conducted at the Moore School, via telephone or Skype. If an applicant is invited to interview, the application will be considered completed after the interview. After this process, the application is considered as “complete” and applicants are notified of the admissions decision within the time frame shown in the schedule below.
  5. Award Notification - Admitted students will be notified of any financial award(s) as stated in the Admissions Schedule below. For a list of the different options available, visit Financing Your Education in our website. There is no separate application for fellowships; all applications which comply with each particular fellowship’s requirements are automatically considered. Applicants will be notified if they are selected as a candidate for fellowships which require an additional interview. Notifications are sent via e-mail, to the account specified on the application. We encourage you to set the moore.sc.edu domain as a secure sender.
  6. Enrollment Deposit - Information regarding the deadline to pay the non-refundable $1000.00 enrollment deposit is stated in the Award Notification letter. Payment may be done via Check/Money Order or Credit Card (Visa is not accepted). Links to the graduate program deposit forms are available in the Admissions Letter.
