The spring 2006 meeting of Moore Alumni Europe (MAE), a regional chapter of the Moore School’s Graduate Alumni International Network (GAIN), was April 28-30 in Frankfurt, Germany.
MAE provides a framework for Moore’s graduate alumni who live in Europe to network, share information, and support the efforts of the school, says Trish White, MAE president.
The April meeting featured Friday evening cocktails and a Saturday brunch and business meeting with guest speakers – probably Moore alumni who already have or plan to develop international careers. “Ultimately, I want to highlight for the alumni attending the fact that our MIBSters [graduates who earned a Master of International Business degree; the program is now called the International MBA] and IMBAs have gone on to do some very impressive things with their international careers,” said White (MIBS ’99, German Track). “So they should feel themselves in very good company.”
MAE meets twice a year at different locations in Europe. In the past six years, members have met in Hungary, Austria, France, Germany, Romania, Belgium, Denmark, England, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Membership in MAE is extended to any member of GAIN who has an interest in the European network and pays his/her dues. A European listserv is available for all GAIN members with an interest in European activities and issues.
