Meet Jeff
Says Professor Robert Carlsson changed the way he views the world.
Has worked at the Palmetto Institute—a think-tank focused on economic development in South
Carolina—since September as a research intern.
Attended a German language program in Wittenberg, Germany, in the summer of 2004 and then
traveled to London, Paris, Brussels, and Prague for a two-week international business course in
2005.
Is a big WWII buff whose favorite vacation spot is Normandy, France.
Dreams of helping people of any age understand fundamental economic concepts.
My experience at Carolina has focused my interests and given my life a new and
exciting direction. It has afforded me the luxury of being able to acquire a significant portion of
my education overseas, thus broadening my perspective and giving me an insight that I would not
have otherwise obtained. I have been able to work and serve in environments that were stimulating
and challenging, but certainly not without reward or satisfaction. Indeed, my enthusiasm for what
lies beyond graduation is tempered only by my recognition that I could stay at Carolina for years
more, contentedly taking advantage of previously foregone opportunities.
