Brief job history:  I started with Pfizer in Corporate Internal Audit where I traveled around the world to Pfizer sales offices, manufacturing facilities, and research facilities to perform financial and healthcare compliance audits.  After two years in audit, I moved into Global Pricing & Reimbursement where I am responsible for worldwide pricing and reimbursement activities for pipeline and launch products in the Allergy & Respiratory and Vaccine therapeutic areas.  I also facilitate local management pricing analyses and approvals for inline products in Africa and the Middle East.

Why I chose IMBA:  Regardless of the company you work for or where your office is located, business is global.  I wanted to ensure my business education provided this valuable and necessary global perspective from start to finish.

Where I interned: GBS Finanzas in Madrid, Spain.

What impacted me the most during the IMBA Program: Learning Spanish from scratch, meeting my husband while studying in Mexico, interning overseas, and making lifelong connections.

How IMBA has added value to my career:  First and foremost, the quality of the core business education was exceptional.  The strong foundation I received in all subject matters allowed me the flexibility to move through diverse departments in Pfizer, from my initial position in Internal Audit, a technical accounting role, to my current position in Pricing & Reimbursement, primarily a marketing role.  The overseas work experience I gained during the internship provided me with the context needed to understand the viewpoints and perspective of Pfizer colleagues I work with around the world, which strengthens my working relationships and greatly improves productivity.
