Bio: Upon graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, I worked for three years at the Fresh Market, Inc. headquarters as a sales analyst on the Decision Services team. Working directly under the CIO in the decision center of the company prepared me for the advanced business training and the analytical curriculum at the Moore School.
As I researched graduate schools I quickly determined that the International MBA program at the University of South Carolina would provide an experience of a lifetime. Not only would I earn a world-class MBA, I would gain international experience that will serve me my entire career.
After a year studying the MBA core curriculum in Columbia, SC, I moved to Tokyo in April of 2006. After completing 12 months of intensive language study at Waseda University, I moved to Nagoya where I performed a six month sales and marketing internship at Yagami – a medical equipment distributor.
I am currently completing the Marketing concentration in my final year at the Moore School. In my work as a Student Ambassador, I serve as a liaison between the Moore School and prospective students from all over the world. Also, I am working as a student researcher in a collaborative effort between USC, the National Science Foundation and four corporate partners to develop and commercialize advanced nanocomposite plastics.
My career aspirations include working in marketing and management. I plan to work in an industry that leverages technology to make a positive impact on society. My entrepreneurial aspirations also include real estate acquisition and management.
My wife Amy and I plan on moving back to our homestate of NC after graduating from the IMBA program.
Special interests/hobbies/skills: I play the piano, guitar and banjo. My wife, son and I enjoy world travel and spending time with our family and friends.
