Bio: I am a German track student with an interest in Marketing. I have an undergraduate business degree from the University of Mumbai.
What attracted me to Moore’s International MBA program was the unique opportunity to specialize in international management in practice and not just theory. The unique benefits I saw with Moore's IMBA program were the language immersion program, the choices of language options available and the four month internship overseas. Both of these turned out to provide invaluable experience.
In Germany, I lived in Tübingen for three months and in Köln for one month learning German. I did not speak any German before I started the program - yet after four months in Germany, I was able to take the Deutsche Zertifikat exam which is the equivalent to an intermediate entry level test. I interned with General Motors in Budapest. My assignment was marketing a new car that was specially designed to be launched in the central and eastern European region. Thanks to Moore, I have been able to experience living in western and eastern Europe and got a taste of two entirely different cultures.
Besides its global perspective - another element I appreciate at Moore is the small class size which allows for more personal attention, both by faculty and by the career office My classmates have such diverse backgrounds and experiences - it is amazing how much I have been able to learn from them. This is indeed a fantastic program. I love it. I am glad I am here. I know I have made the right choice as the IMBA program satified my desire to work in the travel industry which has a global market.
