The International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program at the Moore School of Business offers a cutting-edge graduate international business education that prepares students for today’s global environment. Unlike many schools where international implications often are discussed only at the end of the semester, global issues and experience permeate the business classes in the International MBA program. Students are exposed to international business issues from the first day of class.
Regardless of the option chosen, all students will pursue the same common core of course work. The core courses emphasize the global aspects of the various functional areas, consistent with the program’s mission to provide students with expertise in the international dimensions of business.

Angie Miller on "understanding the international perspective"
Moore School's International MBA is consistently ranked at the top by U.S. News & World Report and other MBA surveys. Our program's internationalized core curriculum is designed to develop cultural understanding with direct experience in a specific country or region of the world. An internship, of up to 20 weeks, with an international employer is part of the program. Concentrations in finance, marketing, human resources, entrepreneurship, operations, information systems, and more are available. Language Track options include Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and the Global Track for those students who are already fluent in another language or choose to focus on global business issues rather than a foreign language.

One cannot fully understand global business by reading a book. An internship through the Moore School is no mere road trip touring another country.
Instead, as part of the International MBA program, all students live and breathe the business culture of another country, an experience that prepares them for life as a global manager. No matter where they will work in the future – in the United States or another country – they will be able to think and act globally. The Moore School of Business successfully pioneered the concept of an international internship
more than a quarter-century ago. Since then, more than 4,000 students have worked as interns in
over 30 countries. All students of the International MBA program are required to spend up
to 20 weeks working for an international employer. This requirement sets the International MBA
program apart from its competitors. No other international business program requires its students
to have an internship of this length, yet such international experience is critical. Through this
process, students transform what has been learned in an academic setting into marketable, practical
business skills.
We invite you to enjoy "A Day In The Life" Tara Loescher Spanish Track '08 audio presentation |
Tara Loescher, Spanish '08, shares her IMBA experience through her audio presentation -- "A Day In The Life".
Tara's presentation gives unique insight into the day-to-day activities students will experience in the IMBA program.
In addition, to more fully understand the total internship experience, several IMBA students chronicle their internship experience through regular Web Journal entries each year. It is very interesting to read how a student's internship is progressing, what responsibilities they are being given in their company and how they are enjoying life in another country.
Read about students' internship experiences in their own words.
