Ph.D. in Business Administration: Strategic Management/Business Policy Emphasis

Doctoral study in strategic management/business policy (SM/BP) focuses on top management decision-making with the business firm as the primary unit of analysis.  Primary focus in the SM/BP area is on issues associated with the application of theoretical developments to top management decisions and the SM/BP field.

The SM/BP faculty members have close ties with the highly regarded international business area of the School.  Hence, students wishing to combine international business and strategic management find South Carolina's program especially attractive.

The SM/BP major area of concentration consists of at least 18 semester hours of required course work as follows:

The Strategic Management/Business Policy area will not be admitting students for the 2008-09 academic year.
