Thomas P. Moliterno
|
Biography Tom Moliterno is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Moliterno received his Ph.D. in Management from the Paul Merage School of Management at the University of California, Irvine in 2005. He also holds an MBA from Boston University, and an MA from the University of Kentucky. His research has appeared in the Strategic Management Journal, Advances in Strategic Management, and the Best Paper Proceedings of the Academy of Management. Dr. Moliterno's research focuses on organizational theory, the resource-based view of the firm, and dynamic capabilities, with a particular emphasis on behavioral aspects of resource decision-making. He also studies social networks, and has examined social structures in the U.S. venture capital industry and the Fortune 500. Dr. Moliterno is a member of the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society. Dr. Moliterno teaches courses in Strategic Management at the Moore School of Business, and has twice been voted the Outstanding Professional MBA Professor for the core curriculum. Prior to earning his doctorate, Dr. Moliterno worked for many years in non-profit organizations, where he both directed international advocacy programs and raised major gifts. Education
