The Marketing area's primary objective is to provide the doctoral student with the best
training possible to maximize career opportunities in university teaching and research. The
Marketing area offers intensive training in research methodology and theory applicable to scholarly
marketing and buyer behavior issues.
The Marketing emphasis places heavy concentration on research methodology and critical
thinking skills. The prime goal of the Marketing emphasis is to prepare students for active
academic research careers.
The Marketing Department will admit their next incoming doctoral class for the 2009-2010
