Biography Rebecca Walker Naylor is Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. She joined the faculty after receiving her Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2006. Rebecca’s research interests lie in the area of consumer behavior, broadly focusing on judgment and decision making. She is particularly interested in transformative consumer research, research that contributes to the collective and personal well-being of consumers. This interest has led her to explore such topics as the influence of specific lay beliefs on consumption decisions (e.g., the "unhealthy = tasty" intuition), consumers' use of ethical attributes, and consumer disposition behavior. Current projects continue to explore consumer intuitions, disposition tendencies, and consumer response to ethical products and services. Dr. Naylor's research has appeared in or is forthcoming in the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Marketing Letters. She currently teaches Consumer Behavior at the Moore School and serves as the coordinator for the Marketing Department Research Participant Pool. Education
