Biography

Randy Rose earned a BA in Anthropology and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. He joined the Moore School faculty in 1986 after receiving his Ph.D. in marketing from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Rose's research on persuasion, social influence, and important aspects of consumer culture has been published in the following journals: Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Retailing, and Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, among others. He currently serves on the Editorial Review Boards of the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing. While Dr. Rose has taught a wide variety of courses at the Moore School, he most often will be found in consumer behavior courses at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels.

Dr. Rose co-chaired the 2003 American Marketing Association Summer Educators' Conference. He is currently serving as the Executive Director for Moore School Ph.D. programs.
