Curriculum

CLASS2

The PMBA Program curriculum consists of 16 courses - 10 core courses and 6 electives.  Each course is three credit hours for a total of 48 credit hours.  There is no prerequisite coursework required before starting the program.

Electives provide students the opportunity to focus on a particular area of business if they choose. Elective offerings vary by term but typically include three to five choices. These classes may be taught in the typical format of one night per week and selected Saturdays, one night per week with no Saturday classes or in a Friday/Saturday format for three weekends. To see the current list of electives click here.

A concentration in international business may be earned by taking four of the six electives in the international area, one of which must be the off-shore learning experience, IBUS 750T, Exploring Global Business. The destination and itinerary of this trip will vary from year to year. In April 2008 a trip is planned to Istanbul and Prague where students will learn about important political, economic, and social processes taking place in Europe and the diverse cultures in the region.
