David P. Lilly, MBA ’73, a senior consulting engineer for DynoConsult, presented his research paper entitled "A Statistical Approach to Integrating Blasting into the Mining Process" at this year’s prestigious 2007 Oxford Business & Economic Conference held on the campus of Oxford University, Oxford, England.
Lilly’s paper demonstrates that productivity improvements have been achieved for mining and blasting companies by using a statistical approach to integrate blasting into the mining process.
The conference was held June 24-26, 2007. DynoConsult is a division of Dyno Nobel, Inc., a global commercial explosives company headquartered in Sydney, Australia.
