Dr. Timothy W. Koch, chair and professor of finance, with Dr. Jocelyn Evans (received her Ph.D. from Moore School, now at College of Charleston), wrote "Surviving Chapter 11: Why Small Firms Prefer Supplier Financing," which won the best paper award in financial institutions at the Southern Finance Association meeting held in November 2005 in Key West, FL.
