The Moore School’s Executive International MBA (EIMBA) program has been ranked the eighth-best MBA program in Mexico by Expansión, a well-known Mexican business magazine.
Dr. Thomas J. Madden, executive director of the program, said he was “very pleased” with the ranking, “particularly since the EIMBA is only in its second year.” The ranking was published in the magazine’s September/October 2005 issue.
The EIMBA, offered jointly by the Moore School of Business and the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (popularly know as Tec de Monterrey) in Guadalajara, Mexico, was launched in August 2004. Its first class of 16 Mexican business executives graduated this May.
The 20-month program is aimed at senior Mexican managers in their 30s and 40s who continue to work while earning their degrees. The class members earn two degrees: an EIMBA from the University of South Carolina, and a Meastria en Administracion from Tec de Monterrey.
After an opening week in Columbia each fall, classes are taught in Guadalajara every third weekend, utilizing both Moore School and Tec de Monterrey faculty.
The program’s second class enrolled in August 2005, and will graduate in May 2007.
