The Moore School’s Master of Human Resources (MHR) program has received a $9,200 grant from ExxonMobil, part of a $1.6 million grant from the oil company to 88 colleges and universities throughout the country.
The grant, which was announced Oct. 17, will be used for various educational purposes, including scholarships, field trips, visiting speakers, equipment purchases, student and faculty travel to academic-related activities, and other educational projects. ExxonMobil awards the grants to certain schools that offer programs/degrees of relevance to the company when it recruits new employees.
“We are very appreciative of the support by ExxonMobil for the Master of Human Resources program,” said Dean Kress, managing director of Moore’s MHR program. “We have had the good fortune to place students in both internships and full-time positions with ExxonMobil.”
The Moore School’s MHR program is an excellent one “that produces … highly skilled students that ExxonMobil seeks to hire,” according to Ed Price, U.S. recruiting manager for the company. “ExxonMobil is a strong believer in supporting colleges and universities that maintain programs that effectively prepare our future employees.”
