ExxonMobil provides grant to Moore’s MHR program

The Master of Human Resources (MHR) program at the Moore School of Business has received a department grant in the amount of $10,600 from ExxonMobil. The company donated a total of $1.7 million in department grants to 87 universities across the country.

The grant allows MHR to allocate the money for various educational purposes including scholarships, field trips, visiting speakers, equipment purchases, student and faculty travel to academic-related activities, and other educational projects. ExxonMobil awards the grants to schools that offer degree programs from which it recruits employees. The amount of the grant is based on several factors, including the number of employees graduated from the specific university.

“Supporting higher education has always been a strong priority for ExxonMobil,” said Amy Patton, Global Recruiting Organization, ExxonMobil.  “This program enables us to provide funding to colleges and universities who play a pivotal role in preparing students to enter the workforce.  ExxonMobil is proud to provide support to the Master of Human Resources program which will help to enhance departments whose academic focus aligns with the workforce needs of ExxonMobil.”

“ExxonMobil’s support of the Master of Human Resources program has been a key ingredient in our ability to attract top students.  These funds will be used for fellowships and for other recruiting activities,” said Dean Kress, Managing Director of the Master of Human Resources program.
