Sixteen Moore School undergraduate students
visited Beijing and Shanghai, China, as part of their "Advanced Issues in Entrepreneurship" course
offered during Maymester 2007. The Study Abroad course was taught by Patrick DeMouy, lecturer
in management. Among the places visited as part of the course were the Great Wall of China,
BN Vocational School, the University of International Business and Economics, isofstone (a
company), and Li & Fung Trading Ltd.
The University of South Carolina Bookstore contributed USC tee shirts that were given away during the trip. DeMouy and the students also distributed children’s books in English to help Chinese students at the BN Vocational School, who are children of Chinese laborers, learn English.
