Graduate and undergraduate students addressed topics related to sustainable energy at a symposium December 7 in Lumpkin Auditorium, 8th floor, Moore School of Business.
Topics discussed included solar power, wind power, nuclear power, biomass (including ethanol) fuels, methyl hydrates, geothermal energy, carbon credit trading, batteries and capacitors, and efficiencies. The students are members of case teams who compete nationally and internationally. Their advisor is Pat DeMouy.
The symposium gave students practice in presenting, but also will informed students, who thoroughly researched the topics, and audience members about sustainable energy, which is critical to our future, DeMouy says. After each 10-12 minute presentation, time was allotted for questions and discussion.
