Four Moore School Students Win Rotary Scholarships


Four Moore School of Business students have won Rotary International Scholarships for study abroad during the 2007-2008 academic year. A total of eight scholarships were awarded to University of South Carolina students.

Three Moore students were awarded Cultural Scholarships for three months of study; these scholarships are valued at $12,500 each.  A fourth Moore student received an Ambassadorial Academic Year Scholarship for nine months of study abroad, valued at $25,000.

The Cultural Scholarship winners from Moore are Dori Enderle, Mark Godfriaux, and Kali Stewart.  The Moore winner of the Ambassadorial Scholarship is Anthony Busch.

Dori Enderle is a sophomore, dual degree candidate in International Business and English from Richmond, Texas.  She is a member of the South Carolina Honors College and is a McNair Scholar and a Lieber Scholar.
Mark Godfriaux is a junior and is a member of the South Carolina Honors College double majoring in Finance and International Business.  He is from Mertztown, Pa.  His Rotary Scholarship will take him to La Academia de Espanol in Quito, Ecuador.
Kali Stewart, a sophomore Finance major from Franklin, Tenn., is a member of the South Carolina Honors College and a McNair Scholar Finalist. She plans to study at the Pushkin Russian Language Institute in Moscow, Russia.

Anthony Busch (photo unavailable at this time) is a junior International Business major from Kettering, Ohio.  A recipient of the McKissick Scholarship and Brizzolara Business Scholarship, he is currently studying Arabic at Damascus University in Syria.  He interned at the U.S. Embassy there during the summer of 2006.  Busch’s Rotary Scholarship will take him to Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan.

During their time abroad, Rotary Scholars serve as unofficial “good will ambassadors,” promoting understanding and friendly relations among peoples of different nations.

The other 2007-2008 Rotary Scholars from USC are Veronica Sue, Sarah Price, Kellie Sharpe, and Rachel Bowman.
