Anthony K. Farina will speak on "Social Responsibility
& Stakeholder Management - the Citi Experience," on June 9, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Anthony K. Farina is managing director, human resources/compensation, for Citigroup. His organization provides compensation services to corporate and investment banking, capital markets, wealth management, and alternative investment businesses, as well as to the Corporate Center Staff offices. He is also an internal executive coach and senior sponsor of Citigroup's human resources Management Associates Program, where he is actively involved in recruiting and developing the company's next generation of HR leaders.
Prior to this assignment, Mr. Farina was director, corporate initiatives and control, where he was responsible for risk management and compliance for corporate affairs and human resources, corporate human resources policy and initiatives. Previously, he was director of executive compensation for Citigroup, where he managed the annual incentive compensation process company-wide, the Stock Ownership Commitment, and the compensation of the top 200 executives and the board of directors.
Before joining Citigroup, Mr. Farina held senior human resources management positions with American Express and predecessor companies of JP Morgan Chase. Although based primarily in New York, he has had significant international responsibility. While with American Express, he was assigned to Singapore to provide HR coverage in the Asia/Pacific/Australia region. He began his career as a consultant with organization resources Counselors, Inc. in New York City.
Mr. Farina was an adjunct instructor at New York University, where he taught courses in human resources at the Institute of Management. He has lectured at the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University and at the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, where he is also a member of the advisory board of the Master of Human Resources Program.
He has chaired the Conference Board's annual conference on executive compensation and has presented to the national Foreign Trade Council on corporate ethics and sustainability. He co-authored, with Cynthia Lenkiewicz, Esq., a chapter on corporate governance in Executive Compensation: The Professional's Guide to Current Issues and Practices, Michael L. Davis and Jerry T. Edge, editors.
Mr. Farina earned a bachelor's degree at LaSalle University and a Master's degree at Long island University. He also completed several professional development programs, including the program on negotiation for Senior Executives at Harvard Law School. He is married and lives in New York City with his family.
