Moore School of Business Web Site Features
Moore School has redesigned its Web site to be part of the University of South Carolina's Web Presence Project, a multi-campus Internet branding project. We have refreshed our information and our look, but the best part is that we have added some new interactive features to assist prospective students, alumni, and employers in their communication with the Moore School facutly and staff. The site uses OpenCMS software, which means that several key people in the school contribute content to keep the information up-to-date. The site was designed and programmed by Graysail, LLC, one of USC's own incubator companies, and among whose staff number several USC and Moore School graduates. Navigation Major areas of navigation are along the left bar in red, for those heavy traffic areas, or in grey. Those navigation labels will show on all main level pages. Along the top are useful links to the home pages for University of South Carolina and Moore School of Business, as well as direct links to faculty lists, alumni community, and information for the news media under "PUBLIC RELATIONS". Along the bottom of each page are links to general information used by most viewers, such as the maps and driving directions under "MAP", and information request forms under the "CONTACT US" link. Faculty and staff will find the links to the Extranet and Web E-mail under "SITE INFORMATION". A comprehensive events calendar for all the various activities going on in the school is located under "EVENTS". Interactive features Interactive features from our previous Web site have been updated and extended. Prospective graduate students who want to arrange to visit the campus and meet with admissions staff can use the appointment scheduler. Current students who seek coaching from career management counselors can set up and manage appointments through the interview scheduler. Moore School staff can post events to the events calendar. All of these features are managed by the easy- to-use system. Alumni online community A private area is set aside for our alumni to communicate with each other about news, events, jobs, and personal triumphs. Already in use on our previous system, Moore has updated and merged information with the USC alumni association. Alumni will find the site and features enriched. Explore and enjoy. Your helpful suggestions are welcome. Address them to webadmin@moore.sc.edu
