When students first tour the University of South Carolina, many find themselves enchanted by the historic campus and welcoming community. If
you're planning a future tour, there are a range of ways you can experience campus
whether you plan to visit during the week or on a weekend.
Plan a Weekday Visit
On weekdays, you can schedule a campus tour, academic information session or transfer
information session. Visits are subject to availability and you can check your preferred
dates when registering. Register now »
Learn all about Gamecock life during a 2 hour campus tour. Tours begin with a 20-minute
presentation by an Admissions Representative who will discuss the admissions process,
financial aid and scholarships. Visitors will then be taken on
a 90-minute campus walking tour led by a University Ambassador. Campus tours are offered weekdays at 9 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. with an additional 11
a.m. tour on Mondays and Fridays. During the summer, tours are offered weekdays at
9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours during fall, winter or spring breaks may not be available.
Academic Information Session
Investigate academic opportunities available to prospective students through department-specific
information sessions. Sessions are limited when classes are not in session. We recommend
checking for available meeting times before selecting your campus visit day.
Transfer Information Session
College students interested in transferring to UofSC should attend a Transfer Information
Session. Held on Fridays at noon, these sessions cover the transfer application process and resources available for transfer students. The sessions are the perfect time
to ask questions you may have about the transfer process.
Plan a Weekend Visit
If you'd like to visit over a weekend, we have two options: a Saturday event or a
Admitted Student Day and Open House
Admitted students and their families are invited to attend an Admitted Student Day. During this comprehensive on-campus event, you'll get a better feel for life as a
Gamecock before it's time to make your final college decision. We will be hosting
Admitted Student Days on Feb. 8, March 28 and April 18.
At an Open House, high school seniors and their families visit campus for a fun day of learning about
attending UofSC. Free Open House events are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Check
back for fall 2020 dates.
Self-Guided Walking Tour
If you'd prefer to visit after tour hours or have limited time to visit, consider
our self-guided tour. We'll send you a detailed route around campus so you don't miss
our campus landmarks and the great stories behind them. Just complete a tour request and we'll send you tour instructions.

Requests to be added to the waitlist for a campus tour will only be taken on the same day as the tour. Visitors must be physically present at the Visitor Center to request
to be added to the waitlist. Waitlist requests are first-come, first-serve and do
not guarantee a space on a campus tour. If space becomes available, visitors on the
waitlist will be notified as early as 10 minutes before or as late as 15 minutes after
the preferred tour time. If we are unable to accommodate your waitlist request at
your preferred tour time, we will do our best to accommodate you at another tour time.
Your flexibility and patience are greatly appreciated. Please note that visitors are
limited to choosing one tour time when requesting to be added to the waitlist.
Meet Our University Ambassadors
Learn more about our University Ambassadors prior to your visit or connect with the ambassador who led your tour.

metered parking spaces on many of the streets that surround campus, we may be able
to provide you with complimentary parking. Please check in with our parking attendant for more information.
Directions: At the intersection of Pendleton and Bull, enter the small driveway and stop to speak with the parking attendant.
