The Arnold School of Public Health promotes active faculty, research staff, and student
engagement in scholarly activities and identifies and facilitates collaborative research
opportunities in areas that are integral to the science and practice of public health.
In fiscal year 2023 (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023), the Arnold School received a
record $50.3 million in total extramural awards, including $41.7 million in research
funding of which $30.6 million is from the National Institutes of Health. Arnold School
faculty published 763 peer-reviewed articles.
The Arnold School also receives funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
the National Science Foundation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National
Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as well
as from a variety of other federal, state, corporate, and private sources.
