Public Health

As a public health major at the Arnold School of Public Health, you can choose from two different undergraduate degree programs.

Public health encompasses a wide variety of areas, such as biostatistics; environmental health sciences; epidemiology; health promotion, education, and behavior; exercise science; communication sciences and disorders; and health services policy and management. Students will acquire a broad understanding of public health concepts, issues, and opportunities.

 

Undergraduate Degree Programs

As a public health major, you can choose from two different undergraduate degree programs. The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) curriculum is for students who want to apply the degree to social and behavioral sciences, while the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) is for students who are interested in a broad-based natural science. With an acceptance into the University of North Carolina School of Law, Hayley Mason plans to focus on the impact of health policy on health outcomes - eventually at the national and international level.
