Ariel Guinn is the Production Stage Manager for the Koger Center for the Arts.  Ariel is a Columbia native and a graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She spent a semester abroad in Ghana, West Africa studying dance as well as other visual and performing arts.  Ariel was Richland School District One's Department of Theatre Services first intern-- helping to write the curriculum for the internship and other performing arts departments for many years. Ariel was promoted to Master Electrician of Denison University's main Theatre stage after her first semester; and spent several semesters designing lights with Seniors for their final dance choreography projects.

After working at Koger 3 weeks Ariel was bumped to Head Electrician for 7 years (final 3 as Master Electrician), before she was promoted to fill her retiring supervisor's role at Stage Manager at the start of the 21-22 season.  Ariel continues to oversee all the lighting for the stage, and her house light plot is still used today.  Ariel is striving to create a happier, smarter, healthier working environment in our "post Covid" industry.  She goes home every night to her cat Kate, who spent 364 days in the shelter before coming to her window-full forever home.
